Admissions
A guide for parents who wish to send their child to Alderwick Vale Academy
Admissions Process
Applications are administered through the Birmingham coordinated admissions scheme. After the allocation of children with an Educational Health and social Care plan, the admission criteria will be applied in the following order of priority: Looked After and previously Looked After Children. Children of staff. Sports aptitude – up to 15 places. After the above, the remaining places will be split 50-50 between faith and open places, with three bands: 1) priority being given to siblings of current pupils at the Academy 2) children who are resident in the priority Admissions Zone 3) other children If any band remains oversubscribed after application of the above criteria, places will be assigned by random allocation. The process will be conducted independently by computer programme.
